The CANChecked CFE18 is an extremely compact board with dimensions of 27 x 29 mm.
It has:
- 9 analog inputs 0-5V
- 9 digital inputs max 5V
- 12V, ground
- 5V output
- Sensor ground
- CAN High / CAN Low
- serial interface
So with this module the existing standalone ECU can be extended by 9 analog and 9 digital inputs, e.g. for additional sensors and switches. This module is also often used for steering wheels.
The data are transmitted via CAN to the engine control unit and / or display or data logger and can be processed there.
Only 12V, ground and CAN High/Low must be connected to the vehicle. So it is not necessary to lay long wires through the car for each sensor.
